  the president from trinidad & tobago attends the memorial.... the president of the nation (george maxwell richards) attends the memorial at a local kingdom hall in trinidad & tobago .

  could they have learned something from lurking on jwd and decided to dismantle little by little?

  i mean, no bookstudy, possibly less hours for regular pioneers and now the possibility of doing away with the co...sure sounds like a fade to me... are they hoping the r&f won't notice???.

  Reduction in Pio Hours & New Message?

  hello all,.

  i have heard over the last couple of weeks , from 2 different sources that the pioneer hours are to be reduced to 60, this has come from uk bethel sources, but not seen anything posted here about that here... also that the new wt for the witnesses contans an article that gives 3 new points of 'revised light'... any ideas what these are about?.

  i have also had lots of fun recently, questioning people on what the scripture mean whan it says .. do not forsake the gathering of yourselves together, even more so as you behold gods day drawing near... in view of the recent book study stuff....

  The thought about the scripture in Hebrews also occurred to me. Yes, I've heard the same re pioneer hours. The society must have invested in some energy saving light bulbs.

  i've been lurking for some time, since i was "disconnected" by my husband, "tooktheredpill".

  Hello and welcome. Your situation sounds very similar to mine. Family in/607 the stumbling block etc. The emotions are so raw at the beginning. The only advice I will give you is to try and keep a lid on it until you have a chance to work through your own feelings.

  I just finished reading Steve Hassan's Combatting Cult Mind Control. I can't recommend it enough. Read Crisis of Conscience too.

  This thread has answered my question! I just finished Combatting Cult mind control and thought I would check out C.A.N's website. I was shocked to see a personal attack on Steve Hassan. It all makes sense now!

  Were There ANY WT. Publications That You Actually Enjoyed?

  i used to love reading the aid/insight books.. questions from readers was always something i read first when i got my watchtower.. i even liked the truth book because it was pretty detailed in jw beliefs and was an easy read.. was there any publication from the society that you enjoyed reading?

  I remember enjoying Commentary on the letter of James. Then I found out the brother who wrote it became apostate. Go Figure!
